About Us
Founder and Chairman Dr. K.V. Krishna Das was actively involved in social welfare and charitable activities and contributed to community medicine, self-employment and education among poor sections of society during his 30 years service at Government Medical College & Hospitals , Trivandrum. In 1988 after retirement, he provided free medical care, financial assistance and donated medicines, books, journals and equipment and hand-tools to the needy.
Founder trustee and family members agreed after preliminary discussion in June 2017, obligation of every individual of the family, advantage of an organisation to reach more beneficiaries and give back to society by way of supporting social & charitable activities and grassroots development work. Kottaram Charities Trust (Reg. No. TVM/ 209 / 2017 ) was founded to carry on the mission which began 30 years ago.
